Laura Cegarra

Laura is a writer and performer based in Los Angeles, California. Originally from south Florida, Laura received most of her classical ballet training at Boca Ballet Theatre, also spending time at the Rock School for Dance Education.

As a dancer, Laura had the opportunity to perform alongside dancers from the English National Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, and New York City Ballet in works including La Bayadere and George Balanchine’s Serenade. Laura holds a B.A. in Psychology from Harvard College.

She has conducted neuroscience and genetics research at Harvard University, Boston Children’s Hospital, and the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. Laura is passionate about bringing her psychology and research experience to the world of ballet and art.
